Our Story
In 2009 Eric Jensen followed his passion to learn the old world tradition of bespoke tailoring, by attending a prestigious school under a celebrated Italian maestro, Luigi Gallo. Eric graduated from Maestro Gallo's school, receiving his Master Tailor certificate, and he spent 4 additional years as apprentice to tailor Chris Despos in Chicago. He then relocated to New York City, opening a small sartoria of his own. As one of the only American-based tailors to carry on the bespoke tradition, he quickly grew clients. He then spent time as the master cutter, tailor, and CEO of Sartoria Gallo New York, and moved on to become the head cutter and tailor for Stefano Bemer Bespoke.
Now, as of November 2025, in a full circle moment, Eric will return to cutting under his private label Sartoria Jensen. In keeping with the highest standard of quality that the craft demands, SARTORIA JENSEN only accepts 45 suits per year, and then offers a wait list. Eric works by appointment only in NYC, Dallas, Houston, LA, Jackson Hole, and Salt Lake City. He continues the art of tailoring in its purest form, hand-drafting each client’s unique body pattern and molding canvas to the specific shapes and curves of the body. At least 30,000 strategically placed hand stitches go into the making of each suit.
